Beat The Tote predicts that dividend before the races start. If the prediction shows genuine value, it says follow and builds your ticket. If it does not, it says skip and saves your stake for a better day.
Do I need to know how to build a Placepot ticket?
No. The model builds it for you. Your job is to check the follow or skip call and choose a stake. Everything else is done.

No. Beat The Tote does not tip horses. It predicts what the pool is likely to pay and calculates whether playing offers positive expected value. The decision is always yours.
Do I have to use the Tote directly?
No. Most bookmakers carry the Placepot under Tote, Pool Bets, or Placepot. The dividend always comes from the Tote pool regardless of where you place the bet.
